About this tour

If you visit Commewijne between February and July, the sea turtle excursion should definitely be on your bucket list. Of the seven species worldwide, four species of sea turtles come to lay their eggs in the coastal areas of Suriname. Every year, the giant sea turtles find their way back to this area after a long, risky journey. You can watch this natural phenomenon up close. In the afternoon we board the boat towards Braamspunt, where we arrive just in time to catch the sun setting in the Atlantic Ocean.
