Roti is a classic Surinamese dish. At the cooking workshop in Johan en Margaretha you will learn to make this delicious dish from Mrs Dipai. In a relaxing environment, Mrs Dipai teaches you how to prepare, season and cook the local meals, whilst she tells you stories about the history of the traditional dishes and about the history of her family. This workshop is for the people with an interest in local culture as well as those with a love for cooking. After preparing the meal, a table is set up on the terras and you can enjoy your own masterpiece, while sipping on some refreshments. The cooking workshop is a fun and interactive experience that leaves you with new skills and new friends.
