Das Hotel Frederiksdorp in Suriname ist ein kleines, jedoch exklusives Hotel dass sich befindet in den schön restaurierten Gebäuden der alten Kaffeeplantage Frederiksdorp, gelegen am Ufer des Commewijneflusses. Ursprünglich wurde auf der Plantage Kaffee und Kakao angebaut, der alte Kakaotrockenboden ist noch völlig intakt. Frederiksdorp, dass jemals noch einen Deutschen Besitzer hatte, ist das erste Projekt außerhalb von Paramaribo das sich  auf der Monumentalliste einen Platz erworben hat.

Das alte Plantagehaus wurde rundum 1760 gebaut. Diese ehemalige Direktorenwohnung umfasst ein großer Wohnraum mit Balkon (wo man übrigens auch gut Versammlungen halten kann), eine kleine Küche, und vier Schlafzimmer. Das Badezimmer ist gemeint für alle Gäste.  Das Haus wird ausschließlich an Gruppen bis zehn Personen vermietet.

Eine solche Gruppe kann über das ganze Haus verfügen.

Unsere sechs Appartements lehnen sich besonders gut für kleine Gruppen bis zu vier Personen. Sie umfassen ein Wohnzimmer mit kleinem Balkon, einem Schlafzimmer, Badezimmer, Küche und einer Schlafmansarde. 

Frederiksdorp ist das ideale Hotel für Touristen die das Gebiet der Commewijne entdecken wollen. Wir organisieren Bootsfahrten nach Matapica und weitere bekannte Orte am Commewijne, Suriname oder Cotticafluss. Auf Wunsch gibt es auch spezielle Forschungstrips zu den alten und verlassenen Plantagen am Cotticafluss. 

Das Restaurant steht natürlich zur Verfügung unserer Gäste, aber auch Tagesreisenden sind herzlich Wilkommen.

Man kann unser Hotel erreichen mit der Fähre ab Marienburg. Die Fähre kann keine Autos mitnehmen.

Hotel Frederiksdorp in Suriname is a small but exclusive  hotel located in the wonderfully restored buildings of the old Coffee plantation Frederiksdorp, which lies at the border of the Commewijneriver, about 25 miles away from Paramaribo, the capital of Surinam. Originally Cocoa and Coffee were the products of this plantation, the old dry floor still remained. Frederiksdorp is the first project outside Paramaribo that is put on the list of monuments. The old plantation house was build around 1760. This former Directors house has a large living room with balcony, (which is also very suitable for meetings of all kind), a small kitchenette and 4 bedrooms for 2 to 3 persons each. There is one bathroom for all the guests of the house. This plantation house is only meant for groups up to maximum 10 people.

Our six apartments are especially suitable for small (family-)groups of 1 to 4 persons.

You will find a living room, small kitchenette, bedroom for two and a nice bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two more single beds.

Frederiksdorp is the ideal hotel for tourists who want to discover the area of the historical plantation district Commewijne. We also organise Boat trips to the sea, on the rivers Commewijne, Suriname and Cottica and through the swamps behind the plantation. If you are lucky you will see some sea turtles. On demand we also bring you to the old desolated plantations near the Cottica.. 

In our restaurant we also welcome guests who just want to visit us for the day.
